Every year, something wild happens off South Florida — giant Goliath groupers gather by the hundreds for their annual “extracurricular activities” (aka spawning season). These big guys & girls are absolute beauties to dive with! They tend to be very social (often called puppies of the sea) & provide quite the spectacle with their sheer size & numbers.

We’ve booked a private boat with Kyalami Charters during prime aggregation season to put ourselves right in the middle of the action. Expect big fish, big behavior, and lots of life on every dive.

WHAT ARE GROUPERS?

Goliath groupers are among the largest reef fish in the Atlantic — absolute giants of the underwater world. Growing up to 8 feet long and weighing up to 800 pounds, their mottled brown and yellow patterns are unmistakable. During spawning season, males intensify in color and release deep, booming sounds that can be felt through the water. Their sheer size, presence, and behavior make encounters with Goliath groupers a truly unforgettable dive experience.

TRIP OVERVIEW

Enjoy two big drift dives each day, with close encounters with giant Goliath groupers, epic wrecks, big turtles, lemon sharks, and a full cast of South Florida’s colorful marine life.

Divers must be AOW & NITROX certified (we can get you dialed before the trip!)

Want more than two days? There are add-ons available to dive the Blue Heron Bridge as well as experience world class shark dives!
