OKINAWA

JAPAN

JUNE 9-19 2028 & JUNE 21 - JULY 1 2028

WE’RE GOING TO JAPAN.

(And you’re invited)

Ten days of exploring one of the most unique corners of the Pacific. Okinawa is where tropical blue water meets dramatic reefs, WWII history, Ryukyuan culture, tiny local restaurants, bustling markets, and some seriously cool diving.

We had so much interest in this trip, we are running back to back groups in JUNE 2028.

UNREAL REEFS

Okinawa’s diving is next level — warm, crystal-clear Pacific water, sprawling coral reefs, dramatic walls, swim-throughs, and an insane amount of marine life. We’ll explore everything from the legendary Kerama Islands to wild underwater terrain around Okinawa, with turtles, reef sharks, colorful tropical fish, and endless coral along the way. This is the kind of diving you fly across the world for.

SURREAL SURROUNDINGS

Okinawa feels like Japan with a tropical twist. This subtropical island chain stretches through impossibly blue Pacific waters, with lush jungle, limestone cliffs, white-sand beaches, mangroves, coral reefs, and wildlife found nowhere else in Japan. Layer in centuries of distinct Ryukyuan culture, traditional villages and sacred sites alongside colorful coastal towns and modern Japanese life, and the whole place feels wonderfully unexpected. Part tropical paradise, part ancient kingdom, part modern Japan — Okinawa is unlike anywhere else.

SUNABE SEAWALL

This is home base — and part of the adventure. The Moana Hotel sits right along the Sunabe Seawall, putting us steps from one of Okinawa’s favorite coastal playgrounds. We can wake up and dive it, surf it, walk it, grab food nearby, or catch sunset over the East China Sea. It’s the kind of place where the ocean is simply part of everyday life — exactly where we want to be.

COLORFUL CULTURE

Once the heart of the Ryukyu - an independent maritime Kingdom, Okinawa has a culture and history completely its own. We’ll experience it firsthand through local markets, historic sites, colorful neighborhoods, and time spent exploring beyond the dive sites. This trip is about experiencing the many layers of Okinawa — above and below the water.

AUTHENTIC CUISINE

Okinawa has a food culture all its own — a delicious mix of Japanese tradition, Ryukyuan heritage, tropical island ingredients, and outside influences gathered over centuries. We’ll dive into local markets, tiny neighborhood restaurants and traditional izakayas to try everything from fresh seafood and Okinawa soba to goya champuru and dishes you’ve probably never heard of. Come hungry, try everything, and let the locals do the ordering.

SIDE QUESTS

There’s plenty to get into when we’re not underwater. Wander the seawall, hit the arcades, explore colorful American Village, hunt down tiny shops, grab late-night ramen, catch live music, or stumble into a neighborhood izakaya. Okinawa is made for a little unscheduled exploring — and we’re leaving room for your fair share of side quests.
